About Us

RTR is based in Southern England since 2010 , but started life in Leeds in 2005 , so has many contacts across the Land. RTR is a recruitment consultancy working with managers and directors within Retail& Hospitality operations. We in the UK are among the best retailers in the world and therefore the quality of individuals and the opportunity presented to those of us within the retail industry are exciting and provide us with an enjoyable, fast moving and progressive marketplace in which to work.

When people say to me they think National Service should be re-introduced I can't help but think the best answer to this is not to lock people away in boot camps for three years, but to put them on a year's structured retail management programme. For all of us who have worked in retail in a management position there is no better way, in my opinion, to teach people responsibility, accountability, organisation skills, flexibility, high levels of service and above all leading a team and making it happen. There is no other place quite like the retail environment. Where else is the customer with you all the time?

After nearly four years with Michael Page Retail I have had some fantastic exposure and experience to retail operations recruitment at all levels, and believe the role of my business to be very much about partnership between the candidates and clients. Relationships with people is the most important part of recruitment, the ability to identify a person's talent, motivations, personality and aspirations and guide that individual to a business and opportunity that will complement all of these is the core aim of our business.

We want to work with people that share the same values as us - passion, enthusiasm, honesty, empathy, diversity, enjoyment, a will to win and making a difference.

RTR appreciate we have a responsibility to our candidates and clients to be up-front with you about whether we are the right business for you. We will give you our opinion, always give you at least that and will give everybody an answer to their question; We will talk to you.

We are not trying to be the biggest in what we do. We are not looking for world domination! RTR's business is about offering you the individual the best service and the strongest relationship and to be able to add value to your career in whatever way we can. If we feel we are not the best business to do this we will let you know. Do not expect us to do it for you.

We need to work together to ultimately allow you to get what you want out of your career. If this makes sense to you then please contact us.

If we all did thing we are capable of we would literally astound ourselves - Thomas Eddison

"' As a candidate, I've only had the experience of using RTR once - that's all it took! Their open, professional and friendly approach was key to me getting my perfect job. I know my new employers felt the same and we look forward to working with RTR again. They have a great understanding of the sector coupled with a hands-on, one-to-one approach so you get the impact and profile of a big agency with the passion, personal service and drive of a smaller one. You'll find them practical and cost-effective and a real help in getting the best fit for your vacancy.' "
